The estate of a highway worker killed on the New Jersey Turnpike accepted $3.35 million on Oct. 7 to settle a Union County suit, Estate of Sprague v. Colakoglu.

Early on Oct. 16, 2008, Steven Sprague, 28, an employee of Stavola Contracting Co. of Tinton Falls, was making road repairs near the toll at Exit 13A when Ali Colakoglu fell asleep at the wheel and his vehicle swerved into the construction area, killing Sprague.
