ADMINISTRATIVE LAW — SCHOOLS AND EDUCATION

01-2-4308 Robinson v. State-Operated School District of the City of Paterson, App. Div. (per curiam) (4 pp.) Appellant Robinson was a senior at the State-Operated School District of the City of Paterson’s Silk Academy when she was suspended in the aftermath of an altercation with a fellow student. The district hearing committee determined that Robinson committed the offenses for which she was charged, but readmitted her to Silk Academy and she graduated. Robinson submitted a petition seeking an order dismissing the school district hearing committee’s disciplinary proceedings and expunging all of appellant’s school records concerning those proceedings. The district submitted the certification of its general counsel, who states that he has reviewed Robinson’s student records and they contain no reference to the disciplinary incident. The appellate panel affirms the final administrative decision of the commissioner of the Department of Education that affirmed the summary decision of the administrative law judge and dismissed Robinson’s petition as moot.
