A construction worker injured in a fall from allegedly faulty scaffolding accepted $2.55 million on Oct. 31 in his Essex County suit, Salce v. Mills Meadowlands Xanadu Corp.

Maximo Salce, an employee of subcontractor Island Lathing, was spraying fire-retardant material on ceiling joists at the Meadowlands Xanadu complex in East Rutherford on Oct. 25, 2007, when a rail of the elevated platform on which he stood gave way. He fell 15 feet.
