Eight spectators injured in a Giants Stadium escalator accident settled their Bergen County suits Thursday for a collective $2 million, sources say.

After a Dec. 29, 2007, New York Giants game, an escalator leading from the stadium’s upper level down to the ground level malfunctioned and began to speed up. Several stairs failed, causing the plaintiffs to fall into spaces between them, says Michael Noonan of Nowell Amoroso Klein Bierman in Hackensack, the lawyer for Michael Harris, then 30, and two other plaintiffs.
