Nick Travisano, a Hamilton solo, was sworn in as president of the Mercer County Bar Association on Jan. 26 by Mercer County Superior Court Judge Audrey Peyton Blackburn. Also taking the oath of office during the event, at John Henry’s Stone Terrace in Hamilton Township, were President-elect Samuel Gaylord, of Gaylord, Popp; Vice President Dorothy Bolinsky, of Drinker, Biddle & Reath; Treasurer Michelle Gasparian, of the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office; and Secretary Colleen Crocker, of Romando, Zirulnik, Sherlock & DeMille. Blackburn also swore in 2012 Trustee John Carbonara, of the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office, and 2014 Trustees Margaret Chipowsky of MD Advantage Insurance Co., James Creegan of Stark and Stark, Peter Kelly of Fox Rothschild, Raymond Staub of Destribats Campbell, and Angelo Stio of Pepper Hamilton.

Timothy McGoughran, who runs a firm in Farmingdale, received the Monmouth County Bar Association’s Family Law Committee Award on Jan. 12 at The English Manor in Ocean Township. The award recognizes Bar members who have made a substantive or procedural contribution to the administration of the Family Court or family law practice.
