LG Electronics has settled a class action over 600,000 allegedly defective refrigerators, agreeing to repair or replace thousands of units and to pay $1 million in attorneys’ fees.
District Judge William Martini certified the class and approved the settlement in McLennan v. LG Electronics USA Inc., 10-cv-3604, which alleged that a dozen models of LG fridges had a malfunctioning interior light that stayed on when the door was closed.
