The state Supreme Court held Thursday that two 9-1-1 operators are statutorily immune from liability for bungling calls about the fatal stabbing of a woman and her two children.

But the Court remanded the case, Wilson v. Jersey City, A-61/62-10, for a determination on whether the operators’ actions constituted “wanton and willful disregard for the safety of persons,” conduct that would not be immunized.
