No-Class Action — Someone with a telephone number in the 908 area code is using Department of Law and Public Safety letterhead in an apparent identity-theft scam, Attorney General Jeffrey Chiesa warned on Thursday.

An 11-page “Notice of Remedy and Settlement of Class Action” was sent Tuesday by e-mail to an unknown number of people telling them that if they bought securities from two apparently fictitious companies — Argus Capital Limited and Wentworth Group Limited — they could participate in a $233.65 million settlement.
