Pentair Inc. in Minneapolis, a fluid-processing product manufacturer, announced March 28 that it would merge with Tyco Flow Control in Princeton, a power-generator valve supplier, for about $4.9 billion in cash, liabilities and stock shares.
Avenue Stores Makes Acquisition
Private equity firm Versa Capital in Philadelphia announced April 18 that its new company, Avenue Stores LLC, has acquired the assets of United Retail Group, a plus-size clothing distributor in Rochelle Park that had formerly been operating stores under the Avenue brand name.
