William S. Singer was honored by the New Jersey State Bar Association’s GLBT Rights Section with its 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award on April 10 at the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick. Singer, of Singer & Fedun in Belle Mead, was recognized for dedicating a significant part of his practice to advancing GLBT rights and counseling GLBT couples on issues such as adoption and assisted reproduction.
Rosamond, Murphy Honored for Pro Bono Work

The Essex County Bar Association honored Geoffrey Rosamond with the Bernard J. Kuttner Pro Bono Service Award and Delia Murphy (shown, right) with the Family Law Attorney Award for their pro bono efforts with Volunteer Lawyers for Justice of Newark. The awards were presented on April 30 at the Pleasantdale Chateau in West Orange. Rosamond is a partner with McCarter & English in Newark, where he is chairman of its Pro Bono Committee and leads McCarter’s efforts with VLJ’s ReLeSe program. Murphy, who practices family law in Bloomfield, has been a member of VLJ’s board since 2008 and is an integral part of the nonprofit’s divorce seminars and clinics, and often mentors and trains other volunteer attorneys to handle family law cases.
