The Emergency Services Volunteer Length of Service Award Program Act (LOSAP Act), N.J.S.A. 40A:14-183 to -193, authorizes a county or municipality in which a fire district does not exist to establish a LOSAP for active volunteer members of the emergency service organizations operating under the county’s or municipality’s jurisdiction.
