The Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday refused to endorse Republican Bruce Harris for the New Jersey Supreme Court, marking the second time in two months it has turned down one of Gov. Chris Christies nominees.
The 7-6 vote, one short of the required majority, was split largely along party lines, with only one Democrat voting for the nomination.
