Renee Anthony was sworn in on May 9 as president of the Middlesex County Bar Association. Anthony is a solo in New Brunswick, handling criminal, family, municipal, real estate and chancery matters. Other officers are Tara Auciello, president-elect, a New Brunswick solo; Ellen F. Schwartz, first vice president, Ramatowski, Spilka & Schwartz, East Brunswick; Craig Aronow, second vice president, Rebenack, Aronow & Mascolo, New Brunswick; Andrea Sullivan, treasurer, Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis, Woodbridge; William Isele, secretary, Archer & Greiner, Princeton; and John Paone Jr., immediate past president, Paone, Zaleski & Brown, Woodbridge.

Corbin Walker Receives Excellence Award

Karol Corbin Walker, a partner with LeClairRyan in Newark, is named the recipient of the 2012 Mel Narol Excellence in Diversity Award, presented by the Diversity Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association on May 17 in Atlantic City. Walker became the Bar’s first African-American president in 2003-04. The award is named for the late president-elect and commemorates his commitment to Bar diversity initiatives.
