Marks & Klein, a firm that helped bring about a $206 million class-action settlement with Quiznos and soon after hired a defecting defense lawyer, is conflicted from representing another plaintiff, a New Jersey appeals court says.
Not only did Andrew Bleiman play an integral role in Quiznos’ defense, but the Red Bank firm failed to sufficiently screen him from the follow-up suit, the Appellate Division said in Mody v. The Quiznos Franchise Co., A-2260-11.
