Watch Your Purchases Grocery shoppers, pay extra attention in the beverage aisle: the Attorney General’s Office says stores are unwittingly peddling booze.
The Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) is warning shop owners to stop selling Extracto de Malta, a beverage brewed in Germany with an alcohol content comparable to that of light beer. The bottle’s front label doesn’t disclose its alcohol content, though the back carries a surgeon general’s alcohol warning.
