After learning that his wife J.D.was having an extramarital affair, defendant M.A.D. confronted her in front of their children, aged 8 and 4, pushing her against a wall, putting his hands around her throat, and demanding to know the man’s name. Their son called 911. Plaintiff later left with the children to attend a family event. When she returned, she found that defendant had taken her clothes, pictures and jewelry and burned them in the backyard.
