Two-year-old Sally, abandoned as an infant by her biological mother and placed with her biological father Ken, was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center’s emergency room by unidentified relatives who told the triage nurse that she had been “vomiting” and had an “unsteady gait.” Dr. Daniel Yu examined Sally, noting a “cologne smell” and a “smell of chemical alcohol” from her mouth.
