A family who claimed their son was left blind due to a delayed cancer diagnosis accepted $2 million on Nov. 14 to settle a Monmouth County suit, Bellamy v. Keyport Primary Care Center.

Keith Bellamy, now 9, was a patient at Keyport Primary Care Center from birth to 9 months. In December 2003, his mother pointed out to nurse Robert White that one of Keith’s pupils was larger than the other. In February 2004, she told White that his eyes didn’t move in tandem. But White allegedly said those symptoms were of no import.
