Volunteer Lawyers for Justice held its eighth annual fundraising Arts & Eats for Justice Gala Dec. 4 at the Montclair Museum of Art, bestowing its 2012 Pro Bono Award on Newark’s Genova Burns Giantomasi & Webster and its 2012 Pro Bono Attorney Award on Mount Laurel solo Daniel Frischberg. Also at the event, Legal Services Foundation of Essex County gave its Dickinson Debevoise Award to the New Jersey State Bar Association and its Douglas Eakeley Award to John Gibbons of Gibbons in Newark.

Employees of Walder Hayden & Brogan in Roseland sported denims to work on Fridays in October to raise funds for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Contributions by staff and the firm totaled $800, which was donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
