Ira Marcus, a member of Marcus, Brody, Ford & Kessler in Roseland, and Denise Walsh, a senior associate with the firm, received the 2012 New Jersey State Bar Association Distinguished Legislative Service Award for their efforts in working to enact the Revised Uniform Limited Liability Company Act. The awards were presented on Dec. 14 at the Law Center in New Brunswick.

Michael Leegan, shown, special counsel with Goldberg Segalla in Princeton, is appointed to a three-year term as Atlantic region director of the Defense Research Institute. Leegan is a civil trial litigator who concentrates in the defense of insureds, carriers, self-insureds and individuals.
