Cable television operator Comcast of Philadelphia announced on Feb. 13 it paid $1.4 billion for the headquarters of CNBC, in Englewood Cliffs, and NBC, in New York City. The purchase is part of Comcast’s $18.1 billion deal to buy all the stakes in CNBC’s parent corporation, entertainment and media company NBCUniversal, also in New York City, from manufacturing company General Electric of Fairfield, Conn.

Selway, Healthcare Corp. Merge

Selway Capital Acquisition Corp., an acquisitions business in Englewood, announced on Jan. 31 its merger with Healthcare Corp. of America, a marketing company in Denville, for about $90.6 million in stock and profit-related payments.
