The family of a motorcyclist who died from injuries he suffered in a crash with a car accepted $2 million on March 1 to settle their suit, Estate of Nestor Pagan v. Fernandez.

According to plaintiff lawyer Jonas Seigel, Nestor Pagan was on Paterson Plank Road in North Bergen on Aug. 18, 2011, when he hit the car and went head-first into the back window, breaking bones throughout his body. He was put in a coma at Jersey City Medical Center while doctors reset his pelvis and repaired other damage but died five days later of complications, says Seigel, of Seigel Capozzi in Ridgewood.
