During an altercation in a parking lot, defendant Roskilde Gomez punched the 19-year-old victim in the face several times and kicked him after he fell. The victim was taken to Meadowlands Hospital, where Dr. Pierre Guibor, chief of ophthalmology services, determined that he had suffered a left orbital fracture that impaired the vision in his left eye.
