Passengers of a commuter ferry that struck a Manhattan dock on Jan. 9, along with their spouses, have come forward with damage claims totaling more than $75 million.
The claims have been filed in federal court in Newark, where the ferry company, SeaStreak LLC, commenced a proceeding a week after the crash under the same law that was used to shield the Titanic‘s owners from liability in 1916.
