Former Montville municipal judge Seth Davenport was publicly reprimanded by the Supreme Court Thursday for doing legal work for the town’s mayor during his time on the bench.

The court adopted the Advisory Committee for Judicial Conduct’s findings that Davenport, Montville’s part-time municipal judge from 2003 to 2010, violated judicial ethics rules by handling three matters for Mayor John Rosellini Jr., who served from 1997 through 2005.
