A pedestrian hit by a bus accepted $1.75 million on July 19 to settle her Salem County personal injury suit, Tice v. Salem County Community Bus Services.

The accident occurred on July 27, 2009, in a driveway at Salem County Memorial Hospital, where plaintiff Joanne Tice worked as a nurse. She suffered a fractured skull and brain trauma, requiring an emergency craniotomy, says her lawyer, Mati Jarve, of Marlton's Jarve Kaplan Granato. Tice, now 53, has concentration problems that have prevented her resuming her profession and she now holds a part-time clerical position, Jarve adds.
