Foster Wheeler in Clinton announced on Jan. 13 it has been bought by Amec in London for about $3.2 billion in cash and stock. Both are oil and gas engineering firms. Simon Marchant in London and Matthew Herman in New York City from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer are advising Foster Wheeler. Aedamar Comiskey from Linklaters in London is managing Amec’s legal team.
Tyrx Bought for $160M
Medical-technology company Medtronic in Minneapolis announced on Jan. 6 it paid about $160 million in cash for medical-device manufacturer Tyrx in Monmouth Junction.
