A New Jersey man who led a police officer on a chase through a Middlesex County town at speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour will get a new trial on charges of eluding arrest.
A state appeals court ruled Thursday that it was plain error for the trial judge to admit in evidence a police officer’s testimony about what a witness told a dispatcher and what the dispatcher told him.
