Genova Burns Giantomasi Webster—fighting a civil RICO suit brought by an ex-client who claims it conspired with another client to strip him of $10 million in equity in real property—is seeking sanctions against the plaintiff and his current lawyer.

The Newark-based firm claims that racketeering, consumer fraud and other claims brought by Anthony Ottilio and his company are frivolous and time-barred and that the real purpose of the suit is to harass and embarrass the firm into settling a fee action against Ottilio.
