U.S. District Chief Judge David R. Herndon has already sanctioned Boehringer Ingelheim $931,500 for discovery abuses. But the drug maker fell up short in discovery again.

Despite being ordered to produce some files by Feb.14, “defendants in the course of trying to download 6 TB (2,000,000 files) of data have found themselves having to purchase hard drives located some six hours from the headquarters,” Herndon said in a recent order.
