An Italian medical products maker that sued Hoboken, N.J., publisher John Wiley & Sons for defamation in a scientific journal has voluntarily dismissed the action.
The Feb. 11 withdrawal by Bioteck S.p.A. of Vincenza, Italy, came before Wiley even filed an answer in the case and while its motion for an injunction ordering the offending article taken off the defendant’s website was pending.
