A $4.5 million settlement won by Raymond Gill Jr. for the wife and child of a 27-year-old motorcyclist who died of injuries in a collision topped all recoveries in automobile negligence cases reported in 2013.
The accident occurred at about 4:30 p.m. on May 17, 2012, in Hillsborough. Gregory Gentile was driving his Kawasaki Ninja eastbound on Amwell Road when Joseph Kuhta, 79, driving a Chrysler LeBaron, exited the parking lot of the Nelson’s Corner Shopping Center. Kuhta had just turned right into the eastbound lane when the vehicles collided. The accident caused a three-hour closure of Amwell Road between Route 206 and Willow Road.
