The New Jersey Supreme Court on Tuesday stayed an appeals court order that gave the state’s fair housing agency until March 26 to adopt new regulations lest its board members face sanctions for contempt.
The Appellate Division, in a March 7 order, had rebuked the Council on Affordable Housing for missing a five-month deadline for devising a new round of rules to determine the fair-housing obligations for local governments.
