Paulette Brown, a partner at Edwards Wildman Palmer in Morristown, gave the keynote address at the Seton Hall University School of Law’s fifth annual Diversity Banquet on Feb. 18. Her theme was one of reassurance, telling the audience that no matter what is reported in the newspapers or blogs, being a lawyer is still the noblest profession of all.

The Community Associations Institute’s New Jersey chapter honored three Hill Wallack partners at its annual awards dinner, held on Feb. 27 at Ariana’s Grand in Woodbridge. Caroline Record received the President’s Award for her work in drafting and promoting a bill to require community association managers to be licensed. Michael Karpoff received the Outgoing Director’s Recognition award. The CAI-NJ’s Legislative Action Committee, of which Record and Hill Wallack partner Ronald Perl are members, received the Committee of the Year Award.
