Valley National Bancorp announced on May 9 its $312 million acquisition of 1st United Bancorp of Boca Raton, Fla. Valley National was advised by a team from Day Pitney in Parsippany, led by partners Michael Rave and Ronald Janis, while 1st United was advised by Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Gunster, Yoakley & Stewart.
Registrar & Transfer Sold
Technology services firm Computershare Ltd. in Abbotsford, Australia, announced on May 1 it has bought Registrar & Transfer Co., a stock transfer provider in Cranford, N.J., for $37 million in cash.
