New Jersey state criminal courts are now accepting certain motions electronically, the latest small step forward in the years-long effort to bring the state’s court system into the digital age.
The judiciary as of Monday had implemented the eCourts system in seven vicinages encompassing 10 counties—Burlington, Camden, Cumberland/Gloucester/Salem, Essex, Monmouth, Morris/Sussex and Warren—with statewide rollout to be completed by Aug. 1, according to a release.
