A delivery man will receive $1.5 million to settle his suit over injuries allegedly sustained tripping over a sewer pipe at a warehouse, Woods v. Hartz Mountain Industries.

On Jan. 3, 2009, John Woods was delivering furniture for his employer, AFD Contract Furniture Inc. in Secaucus, and was returning to his truck when he tripped over the pipe, which was missing a cover, said his lawyer, John Mennie of Ocean’s Schibell, Mennie & Kentos.
