A New Jersey firm that shepherded an estate through legal challenges that one judge characterized as a “scorched earth campaign” will be rewarded for its efforts in the sum of $397,000.

A state appeals court on Tuesday upheld the fees for work preformed by DuBois, Sheehan, Hamilton, Levin & Weissman of Camden in representing the estate of a man found to have been manipulated into modifying his will.
