A lawsuit on behalf of a man who died after Penns Grove borough police placed him in a choke hold has been settled for $2 million.
U.S. District Judge Jerome Simandle approved the payout Wednesday after reviewing plans to distribute part of the proceeds in trusts for the victim’s four minor children.
