DeScherer To Lead Women Lawyers in Bergen


Nilufer DeScherer

Nilufer DeScherer, a partner with Archer & Greiner in Hackensack, was sworn in as president of Women Lawyers in Bergen for the 2014-15 term at the group’s annual dinner on June 9 at the Bacari Grill in Washington Township. Bergen County Superior Court Judge Rachelle Harz administered the oath. Also installed were Nina Remson as vice president, Helayne Weiss as treasurer and Michele Austin as secretary. Paula Franzese, the Peter W. Rodino Professor of Law at Seton Hall Law School in Newark, delivered the keynote speech. The bar group presented this year’s Jean Robertson Scholarship Foundation scholarship to Seton Hall Law School student Sophia Iqbal.
