A federal judge in Camden, N.J., has denied Avaya’s bid to set aside a $20 million antitrust verdict against it, rejecting the company’s claim that the damages calculation was based on “impermissible speculation and guesswork.”

The verdict in Avaya v. Telecom Labs, which is subject to trebling under antitrust law, was returned in April after a jury found Avaya shut out other companies from providing maintenance for its phone systems.
