A recent survey of national and international law firms showed considerable gains in average revenue for the first half of this year, but the outlook is mixed for some of New Jersey’s most notable firms as they approach the fourth quarter of 2014.

August’s survey by Citi Private Bank’s Law Firm Group—which surveyed 174 firms of varying sizes—found an average revenue increase of 4.4 percent for the second quarter compared with the same period last year. That followed a 4.3 percent average increase in the first quarter of 2014.
