A suit filed in federal court in Newark claims JPMorgan Chase & Co. violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act by using an automated telephone dialing system to call a debtor on his mobile phone.
According to the suit, JPMorgan made multiple calls to Serkan Bubay of Wayne, N.J., after he said to a company representative in September that he was unable to repay his outstanding debt and asked for the company to stop calling him.
