A New Jersey lawyer who attempted to litigate a client dispute even though a fee arbitration panel already had settled the matter has been disciplined.
The state Supreme Court last month issued a censure to Fords, N.J., solo James Key Jr., for pursuing the claim—a move in which he admittedly let his emotions get the better of him—as well as record-keeping shortfalls and failing to supervise office staff.
