Archer & Greiner Honored by African American Chamber of Commerce

Lloyd Freeman

The African American Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey (AACCNJ) recognized Archer & Greiner as a 2014 Corporate Honoree during the Chamber’s recent fourth annual Corporate Awards dinner held Oct. 16 in Princeton, N.J. Archer & Greiner received the Corporate Honoree Award in recognition of its support of the AACCNJ and the Chamber’s mission of economic empowerment, as well as for the law firm’s efforts to enhance diversity and inclusion in the community and specifically in the legal profession. In accepting the award on behalf of the firm, Archer & Greiner attorney Lloyd Freeman (shown) noted the firm’s numerous diversity and inclusion programs. These include scholarships for diverse law students at Rutgers-Camden Law School in Camden, N.J., and Temple University’s Beasley School of Law in Philadelphia. But, Mr. Freeman said, more work needs to be done industry-wide to increase diversity and inclusion among lawyers, including to address an alarming attrition rate for minority attorneys in private practice.
