The New Jersey State Bar Association proved again to be a leading force in influencing legal and policy decisions in 2014.

Under then-President Ralph J. Lamparello, and continued under the term of President Paris P. Eliades, the NJSBA implemented a multi-faceted campaign championing the reappointment of Chief Justice Stuart Rabner and the independence of the Judiciary. That included creating a wholly independent Task Force on Judicial Independence, which hosted four public forums.
