A New Jersey county’s attempt to stop a government critic from using its official seal on her local access television show could end up costing it more than $40,000 in legal fees and costs.
On Jan. 7, a federal magistrate judge held that lawyers for Tina Renna, who earlier won a declaratory judgment that Union County could not force her to stop using the seal, is entitled to fees under federal trademark law.
