Wellington, Fla.-based country club Polo North Country Club, the legal entity of businessman Glenn Straub, announced on Jan. 5 that it has purchased Atlantic City, N.J., hotel and casino Revel at auction for about $95 million. Straub argued that he should only have to pay $87 million because the auction dealings had a “lack of transparency,” but Camden, N.J., bankruptcy Judge Gloria Burns rejected the price change. John Cunningham of White & Case‘s New York City and Miami offices represented Revel in the transaction, while Wellington-based attorney Craig Galle advised Straub.

$11M Buy for Cantel Subsidiary

Mar Cor Purification, a Plymouth, Minn.-based division of Little Falls, N.J.-based medical equipment manufacturer Cantel Medical Corp., announced on Jan. 2 it has paid about $11.9 million cash to acquire fellow water purification company Pure Water Solutions of Ridgeland, Miss.
