• Know Your Rights: Attorneys should make themselves aware of their rights and what type of maternity or paternity leave they may be entitled to under federal law, state law and their firm’s own policies. It is also beneficial to have an understanding of laws such as the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination, which protects against gender or pregnancy discrimination and retaliation.
