Ticket Troubles—Live Nation Entertainment and the National Football League scored individual federal court victories over the last month when potential class-action suits against them, alleging unlawful conduct, discriminatory ticket practices and violations of the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act (CFA), were tossed by New Jersey judges.
U.S. District Judge Peter Sheridan in Newark dismissed Finkelman v. National Football League on Jan. 21, and U.S. District Judge Anne Thompson in Trenton, New Jersey, dismissed Forst v. Live Nation Entertainment on Feb. 27.
